Ashwood House Self Catering

Ashwood House self catering accommodation comprises two suites, one on the ground and one on the first floor. Each suite has one double bedroom, single fold down beds are available for the lounge area if required.

The property is located on the slopes leading to Callander Crags and adjacent to Callander Golf Course and is perfect for a relaxing self catering holiday in the Trossachs'. The area is ideal for a people interested in golf, hill walking along with gentle countryside walks, cycling and mountain biking, horse and pony trekking to mention some of the most popular holiday activities.

Callander has a lively, welcoming town centre with its interesting local shops. Its location makes it an ideal centre for all activities and for touring Scotland. The area also has good restaurants, pubs and cafe's for eating out.

Golfing Holidays in the Trossachs

When staying at Ashwood House self catering you have over 20 golf courses within an hours drive. The closest one is the Callander Golf Course and the club welcomes guests.

We are only a short 20 minute drive from the famous Gleneagles Golf Course and ideally located for a golfing holiday in Scotland.

Short breaks are available from November to March. £65 per night, minimum 2 nights. Take advantage of a 10% discount for 3 nights or more.

Prices quoted are per week Saturday - Saturday and are inclusive of heating, electricity & linen. Arrival time after 4pm with departures by 10am.

There is a no smoking policy.

Unfortunately the property is not suitable for pets.

The City of Perth is well worth visiting for an excellent range of shop, cafe's, restaurants and for beautiful River Tay.


A lovely old Perthshire Town well worth a visit - plan to stay for coffee or lunch.

Leisure & Holiday Activities

Pony Trekking

Pony trekking can be found at centres all over the National Park, the closest to Callander being Rednock Farm, about 20 minutes drive from Callander on the Glasgow road.

Cycling and Mountain Biking

Callander has many safe, traffic free cycling tracks which take you around the countryside. Cycle hire is available in the town.


The Trossachs is a haven for all kinds of walking - hill walking, woodland walks and abandoned railway lines.


Fishing is a very popular pastime in the Trossachs with three fishing rivers within a 2 mile radius and five of six good trout lochs within 20 minutes drive of Callander.

Fishing permits may obtained in Callander. Boats and permits can also be provided by Trossachs Fisheries on Loch Venachar who have fishing rights on four excellent trout lochs.
